Cutest Video Ever: Rolling Over

New Tricks
Standing...sort of |
Eating...sort of |
Grabbing her feet |
Walking on Daddy's feet |
Forming a bridge |
Holding a ball with all four limbs at once |
Rolling over (see next two) |
Crib Mobility
Seems harmless |
I just like to push against the slats, Mommy |
But then, legs all the way through the slats, and baby is trapped |
This is how we found out that Jane could move around the crib, and why we have a crib bumper now. We're still not really sure exactly how she moves, but she turns all the way around and travels from one end of the crib to the next. The bumper solved the problem of the slats.
Now, she wakes up because she turns over onto her stomach, which is about the cutest and funniest thing ever. She can't figure out how to turn back to her back and cries out for help in the middle of the night. A few times now she's managed to sleep through turning over, and we've found her peacefully sleeping on her stomach, which made us a little nervous.
Janie Waking Up...
...is magical. She's always so smiley, so happy to see us. She smiles at herself in the mirror over her changing table. Then, after she's eaten, she's even smilier and cuddlier.

Best Onesie Ever
If you know me, you know I like Jane Austen. My good friend Melissa got Janie this beautiful Pride & Prejudice onesie with a 19th-century illustration of Mr. Darcy's first proposal to Elizabeth. It is so delicate, unique, and pretty. I'll be sad when Jane grows out of it!

The Zoo
This was actually Jane's second trip to the zoo, and she was slightly more interactive, especially with a catfish and a jaguar. Their cages are enclosed in glass, so they could come right up to her. Waco had cooled down a bit by this point (around Labor Day), but it was still blazing hot, so Jane ended up drinking water out of a cup.
