Visitors

Jane has had lots of visitors already--Mama Peggy, Nana Brenda, Grandpa George, Aunt Erin, Uncle Bryan, Aunt Amanda, Cousins Shannon & Lara, and friends Danielle, Virginia, Rachel, Jessica, Julie, Sarah, Christina, baby Jude, and housemates Luke and Reid.

My mom and Erin brought their maternal expertise all the way from Detroit and Charleston to bear on our new life at home and helping us learn some of our new habits. They helped us get a little extra sleep and just feel slightly more in control. They also did housework! Thankfully, Brenda came to stay soon after and has been helping us get the house in order and taking Jane on some tours of the house and outdoors. She thinks Jane is very advanced for a newborn in her alertness and ability to focus.

Our friends have been fabulous. Danielle and Virginia brought tulips, Jessica and Rachel brought beautiful irises :), Sarah brought a coffee cake that was amazing and fed us all weekend, and Christina is organizing a meal schedule for us. They continue to amaze me this year with their generosity from helping us celebrate our wedding to helping us prepare for baby Jane's arrival.
